RIVERTOWN NEW YEAR'S EVE BALL IV
Mr. and Mrs. Club of Columbus, Georgia.

The set up crew

The set up crew

2008's edition of the Rivertown New Year's Eve Ball was a huge sucess on so many levels. The dance floor was increased to approximately 3500 square feet and was in great condition for the evening. Temperature remained comfortable for almost everyone and the breakfast was hot, extensive and delicious. The event was well attended by members of the community outside the Mr. and Mrs. Club and sponsors present and past were presented in a different format.

Bob Madayag, as chair of the 2008 event, selected outstanding committee help, and although we euphemistically refer to the construction crew as Sharon's bunch since Sharon Spivey has handled the hospitality function of the Ball for the past couple of years the webmaster risks getting into serious trouble by commencing naming of names deserving of gratitude, taking liberty to note that Evie Bostick and Nancy Hammond, the co-hospitality chairs of Rivertown I & II have remained faithful assisting the effort since then.Several of the individuals pictured have been active in the production since the beginning or since they became members and the community owes its thanks.

For the second straight year, George Winter and his seven piece orchestra were outstanding entertainment and added a wonderful voice to the mix this year.

The demand this year simply underscores all the expressions of excitement about the previous three Rivertown New Year's Eve Balls. Be sure to reserve your tables/tickets early when they go on sale next year because no more tickets will be sold than the largest dance floor available can comfortably accommodate.Click any thumbnail to see the skilled and loving hands that put this one together and enjoy the the slideshow.
